Yokohama A539

Having had my Yokohama A539s on my car for close to 6 months now i can comment fully. These tyres are superb. I previously had Dunlop SP Sport 2000s. Although i did not push them in the dry, when the rain came down it bought understeer along with it. The wear on the Dunlops was also substantially greater than my Yokos even with the firm suspension gaving them more grief than they were used to. The Yokos although soft, last very well which was a concern doing 60 miles everyday. Dry roads can be taken as fast as you dare with the tyres making all the right noises. Damp conditions are met with average ability. While in the pooring rain is where these tyres can really wow - cutting through the deepest of puddles with maximum confidence and no more aquaplaning unlike the A520 it supercedes. The new asymmetrical dual-angle tread pattern looks meaty, not as cool as the F1 variety though. The only complaint would be the road noise has increased but I did go from 195 section tyres to 205 so it's bound to be louder anyway but given the performance difference I will definately be replacing them with the same when the time comes.
